 Your Business – Healthy Savannah

(the ‘ahah’ moment to entrepreneurial-ship):  Healthy people are happier people – and my passion is to inform folks about healthy choices and encourage them to make healthier choices!

Fun Fact about you:. I walk for my health and to that end I walk lots of 5K events in town – but my favorite is walking the Rock N Roll ½ Marathon!

Local or Transplant:  Transplant

Favorite places in town:  all green spaces – especially Forsyth Park and the Historic District.  Local healthy food locations i.e. the Sentient Bean, Forsyth Farmers Market.  Also, I love the bike lanes!

Favorite type of music: Rock N’ Roll …of course  😀

Current project:  Healthy Savannah has a three –year grant toward childhood obesity prevention.  We are working on Complete Streets ordinances in the City and County and working with the City on getting the Truman Linear Park Trail underway.  This bike-ped trail would be over 6 miles long and connect Daffin Park with the park at Lake Mayer.

How you came to Thinc and favorite part about coworking?  Healthy Savannah needed an office to work from for the grant – this was the best choice as we have several Healthy Savannah partners that have their business here i.e. Symbioscity, Savannah Bicycle Campaign, AJ Singer Studio, Transport Studio, bluknowledge etc.

What kind of experiences are you looking for with Thinc?

A location where we can be innovative, accessible, and productive!
